Nottingham April Regatta / Minibus

Nottingham/MiniBus

We have secured the use of the ICU minibus for our trip to the sprint regatta in Nottingham from Friday April 9th to Sunday 11th. It is intended that the bus be used by junior squad members (A,B and C) and a small number of parents. Joe Blount, who has the relevant licence, has offered to drive and the bus will be towing a large trailer.
 
The bus was given by the ICU on the basis that a junior sprint development squad will be travelling on it . Therefore some places on the bus will be offered to other clubs. It is anticipated that 8 places will be dedicated to SLCC with a possibility of other seats  becoming available if declined by the other clubs.
 
The ICU are not keen to lend this bus and it will be very difficult to get it again if we don't use it on this occasion.
 
Those travelling on the bus will be given priority when allocating boat spaces on the trailer. It is expected that the cost per person on the bus will be about €60 euro. This will include diesel. Boat space on the trailer should come in at about €20. These prices are only a guide and depend entirely on how full the bus and trailer is and how many of the passengers are over 15 years of age. It is not our intention to make a profit or a loss from this trip.
The bus will leave Dublin Port on Friday 9th April at 8.20am and will leave Holyhead on Sunday 11th at 8.30 pm.

In order to book the ferry, I will need a payment of the amounts mentioned above as soon as possible.  You can send this to me at Ashill, Dunboyne, Co Meath, or see me at the club or at the races in Aghade this weekend.
 
When the bus is full we will offer the remaining boat spaces to others.
