01/Mar/09 - Castlefinn Results

Salmon Leap had a great start to the marathon season at the 1st ranking race held in Donegal yesterday. The small group that travelled to Lifford were rewarded with great results and valuable points. Most notable was Joe Murphy's result. Racing in Division 2, Joe used his finishing speed to win the overall race ahead of Malcolm and Digger. It is a long time, if ever, that a 16 year old has been first home on the long course in a National Ranking Race.
Thanks to Paul Reed, Frank Roche and all of Donegal Canoe Club forrunning a great race and for the great food spread afterwards.

Success in the training weekend with many people assisting all the training sessions. All the paddlelers have showed a great level for this time of the season.
