You are very welcome to Salmon Leap Canoe Club's website. Salmon Leap is the premier canoe racing club in Ireland and caters for those new to the sport all the way up to top international racers.  Most members compete in Marathon and Sprint racing, but many also compete with great success in Slalom and Wild Water Racing.

Saturday 10/10/09 B&C Training groups meeting

A meeting of members of the B&C training groups, their parents and club members who would like to assist in their winter training programme, will be held at the club this Saturday at 13.00 hours.

This meeting will give details of the proposed planning for the coming months. Also discussed will be the winter competitive calendar and, in particular, the Robertstown Race which is the last race of the season the following day Sunday at 12.00.  Notice attached

Juniors and parents should do the most to come to this meeting and to the race.

27/09/09 William Watkins Trophy

The K1 10k race for the William Watkins Trophy was held on the lake this morning. The good entry and high lake made for some good racing. The race was won, appropriately enough, by William's grandson Barry, who received the trophy from his Dad, Howard.

 

20/Jul/09 - European Under 23 Sprint Regatta Results

Over the past few days Salmon Leap athletes have scored great results in Poznan. Jenny Egan finished in 8th place in the 1000m final and Barry Watkins won the B final also in the kilometre event.

20/Jul/09 - Junior Wild Water World Championships Results

Locan Feely finished in 5th place in the Sprint event at the Junior WW Championships today. Adam Sweeney finished in 14th place. Thursday was team classic race, Lorcan, Tom and Liam finished in 7th place out a field of 14. Today, Friday was team sprints, Lorcan,Tom and Adam ran a very good race finishing in 6th place, just 5 seconds off the winning German Team after 2 runs.

12/Jul/09 - British Sprint Championships Nottingham:

Well done to Lorcan Feely who finished 2nd in Under 18 K1 1000m at the British National Championships at the weekend.
Lorcan had teamed up with Adam Sweeney to finish 3rd in U-18 500m K2 just ahead of Joe Murphy and Fintan Mitchell.
