Shackleton Trophy

The trophy is presented each year to the most improved Junior Member in the club. Lorcan's award was in recognition of his 5th place at the Junior Wild Water World Championships.

Sports Award
Submitted by Esther on Mon, 11/30/2009 - 17:40Congratulations to Peter Egan who was presented with an award at the recent An Garda Síochána Sports Awards Ceremony in Kilkenny for his outstanding canoeing performances throughout the year. This is the second year in a row that Peter has won this award.

Santa Party
Submitted by Esther on Tue, 11/24/2009 - 16:07We are delighted to announce that, after a long absence, Santa will be returning to the club on Sunday, 20th December at 2:30pm. All Salmon Leap kiddies are invited to come along and join in the fun. Of course, their parents are invited also to enjoy some festive treats. Parents should bring along as small (10 euro-ish) present with the child's name marked clearly on the wrapping. The present can be given to Santa's helper in the boathouse before his arrival.
Salmon Leap Canoe Club AGM

Sports Club of the Month
Submitted by Esther on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 21:40Thanks to success of Salmon Leap in the recent Liffey Descent and the other great performances throughout the past season we have been awarded 'Sports Club of the Month' for September by the Leinster Leader.
Thanks to everybody in the club to make this happen and specially to all of those who have been racing along the year.
17/10/2009 - Wild Water Race Results last weekend

Originally the race was to have started above temple Mills weir, but the race course had to be reduced because the ESB were working on Golden Falls dam and could not provide the necessary water.
